Context

Even in an age of unprecedented access to technology and the internet, many governments neglect their responsibilities to their citizens, with impunity.  Corruption is rampant, rule-of-law is ignored, and the human rights of citizens are routinely violated.  This problem is hardly restricted to developing countries: often governments and corporations from industrialized countries are just as culpable.  

 LIGTT will focus on technologies to give voice to the citizen, to shed light on the actions of violators, and to improve compliance with law.
